ISRO answer key 2026 out for Assistant, UDC posts; raise objections by 28 September

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through its Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB), released the provisional answer key and response sheet today, 25 September 2026, for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted on 21 September 2026. This release pertains to recruitment for Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), and Stenographer posts, affecting candidates who appeared for the examination.

Candidates can now compare their responses with the official answers to estimate their probable marks. The objection management portal has also been activated, allowing candidates to challenge any perceived incorrect answers in the provisional key. The advertisement number for this recruitment drive is ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026.

Objection Window and Procedure

The online objection window for the provisional answer key is active from 25 September 2026, at 02:00 PM, and will close on 28 September 2026, at 02:00 PM. Candidates wishing to raise objections must do so within this specified timeframe. The response sheet can be downloaded online using a candidate’s User ID and Password from the official ISRO website.

To raise an objection, candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹100 per question, along with applicable bank charges. This fee will be refunded to the candidate if the objection raised is accepted by the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board. 1. Visit the official ISRO website at isro.gov.in.
2. Navigate to the recruitment section and locate the link for the provisional answer key and objection portal.
3. Log in using your User ID and Password.
4. Select the question(s) against which you wish to raise an objection.
5. Provide the claimed correct answer and upload supporting evidence.
6. Pay the applicable objection fee of ₹100 per question plus bank charges.

Examination Details and Marking Scheme

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) was held on 21 September 2026. The provisional answer key allows candidates to calculate their expected scores based on the prescribed marking scheme. For every correct answer, +1 mark is allotted, while -0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Following the review of all submitted objections, ISRO will release a final answer key. This final answer key will be used in the preparation of the ISRO UDC and Assistant Result 2026. The recruitment process aims to fill a total of 244 vacancies across various posts.

Qualifying Marks and Vacancy Distribution

Candidates are required to meet specific minimum qualifying marks in both the written test and the subsequent skill test. For Unreserved (UR) category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks is required in the written test and 60% in the skill test. Reserved category candidates must secure at least 40% marks in the written test and 50% in the skill test.

The recruitment drive, advertised under ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026, seeks to fill a total of 244 positions. The online recruitment portal was initially open from 27 July 2026 to 16 August 2026. The online application form was re-opened from 16 September 2026 (10:00 AM) to 21 September 2026 (10:00 AM) to allow candidates to modify their Post and Zone Preference. The admit cards for the CBT were made available on 10 September 2026.
