RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 answer key out: raise objections by September 30 for 3,058 vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the answer key and candidate response sheets for the RRB NTPC Undergraduate (UG) CBT-II examination, conducted under CEN 07/2025. Candidates can access these documents and raise objections on the official RRB website, rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, and regional portals, as well as rrb.digialm.com, starting from September 24, 2026, at 11:55 PM.

This release allows candidates to review their questions, recorded responses, and the official answer key to calculate their probable scores. The objection window will remain open until September 30, 2026, at 11:55 PM, providing an opportunity for candidates to challenge any discrepancies they identify in the provisional answer key. The recruitment drive is for 3,058 NTPC Undergraduate-level vacancies, for which 45,898 candidates appeared for the CBT 2 examination.

Accessing the Answer Key and Raising Objections

Candidates can access their answer key and response sheet by logging in to the designated portal using their registration number and password or date of birth. The documents will include details such as the candidate’s name, registration/roll number, examination date, shift, Question IDs, selected responses, and the correct answers. This process is designed to ensure transparency and allow candidates to verify their performance.

To raise an objection, candidates must pay a fee of ₹50 per question, plus applicable bank service charges. The payment can be made through various modes, including UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, and Credit Card. If an objection is found to be correct, the fee paid for that specific objection will be refunded to the candidate’s account, after the deduction of applicable bank charges. The RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Answer Key 2026 Notice was released on September 23, 2026, outlining these procedures.

Examination Structure and Marking Scheme

The CBT 2 examination consisted of 120 questions. Each correct response carries 1 mark. For every incorrect response, one-third of a mark is deducted, indicating a negative marking scheme. No marks are added or deducted for questions that are left unanswered by the candidates. This marking structure is crucial for candidates calculating their estimated scores based on the released answer key.

The recruitment drive under CEN 07/2025 is for various NTPC Undergraduate-level posts, including Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Trains Clerk. Candidates applying for these positions were required to have passed Class 12, with a prescribed age limit of 18 to 30 years as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation provisions are applicable as per recruitment rules.

Upcoming Results and Previous Releases

Following the conclusion of the objection window, the RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Result 2026 is anticipated to be released in the first week of October 2026. This will include the cut-off marks and individual scorecards for the candidates. The release of the answer key and the subsequent objection period are standard procedures to ensure fairness in the examination process before final results are declared.

Previously, the RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 Answer Key 2026 was released on June 27, 2026, after the CBT 1 examination held between May 7, 2026, and June 20, 2026. Additionally, the RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 2 Answer Key 2026 was released on July 15, 2026, following its CBT 2 examination on July 10, 2026. These prior releases set a precedent for the current process, allowing candidates to verify their attempted answers and raise objections against discrepancies.
