Steps to Complete JEECUP Round 2 Choice Filling

The choice-filling process is conducted entirely online. To submit your preferred colleges and diploma streams, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Navigate to the JEECUP admission portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.

  2. Log In to Candidate Dashboard: Click on the active link for Round 2 Choice Filling. Enter your JEECUP 2026 Application Number, Password, and the security pin shown on the screen.

  3. Access the Choice Filling Section: Once logged in, click on the “Choice Filling and Locking” tab on your dashboard.

  4. Select Course and College Preferences: Filter and choose options from the list of available government, aided, and private polytechnic institutes. Organize your options in order of your highest priority.

  5. Review and Lock Choices: Double-check your list carefully. You can add, remove, or rearrange choices. Once satisfied, click on “Lock Choices” and submit.

  6. Save a Copy: Download and print out your locked choice summary page for future admission references.

What Happens After Choice Filling?

After the choice-filling window closes, the council will process the inputs alongside your UP Polytechnic state rank and category to generate the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result on July 10, 2026.

Once the results are out, candidates will have to log in to choose between the Freeze and Float options. Selecting “Freeze” means you accept the allotted seat and want to lock it. Choosing “Float” means you are accepting the seat for now but want to be considered for a better-preferred college or branch in Round 3.

To secure your seat, you must deposit a seat acceptance cum counselling fee of Rs 3,000 online between July 11 and July 13, 2026. This must be followed by physical document verification at your designated District Help Centre by July 14, 2026. Failure to pay the fee or complete document verification within the window will result in the immediate cancellation of your allotted seat.

Documents Required for Verification

When visiting the help centre, keep original copies and photocopies of the following documents ready:

  • JEECUP 2026 Rank Card and Admit Card

  • Class 10 and 12 Marksheets/Certificates

  • Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
