SBI PO Recruitment 2026: Last Day Today to Apply for 1500 Posts at sbi.bank.in

The State Bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment application window closes today, July 8, 2026, on its official website, sbi.bank.in. Candidates interested in applying for the available 1,500 PO posts must complete their applications by the end of the day. Students with a graduation degree/final-year students can apply for SBI PO recruitment. The applicant must not be above 30 years as on April 1,2026 and submit an application fee of Rs. 750. The SBI PO gets a basic pay of Rs. 48,480 per month and an approximate Annual CTC Rs. 21.97 lakh.

How to Apply for SBI PO 2026?

Candidates still wishing to apply for the SBI PO 2026 recruitment can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to the official website, sbi.bank.in
  2. Navigate to the ‘Careers’ or ‘Recruitment’ section.
  3. Find the link for “Recruitment of Probationary Officers (Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09)”.
  4. Click on “Apply Online” and register if you are a new user, or log in if already registered.
  5. Fill in the application form with all required details.
  6. Upload necessary documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form before the deadline.

SBI PO 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian citizens to be eligible for the Probationary Officer posts. The job category is Banking – Government / Public Sector, with job locations across India.

Educational Qualification: A Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University or an equivalent qualification as on September 30, 2026, is required. Final-year students can apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of graduation by September 30, 2026.

Age Limit: Applicants must be not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on April 1, 2026. This means candidates’ date of birth must be between April 2, 1996, and April 1, 2005 (both days inclusive).

Application Fee: A fee of Rs. 750/- is applicable for General, OBC, and EWS categories. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

SBI PO 2026: Selection Process

The selection process for SBI PO 2026 comprises three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Phase III. Phase III includes a Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Interview.

The Preliminary Examination is an online objective test of 100 marks, with a duration of 1 hour. There is no sectional cut-off in the Prelims; selection is based solely on the overall cut-off. A negative marking scheme applies, with 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer. Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies, category-wise, will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

The Main Examination consists of an objective paper (200 marks, 3 hours) and a descriptive paper in English (30 marks, 30 minutes). The Preliminary Examination is a qualifying phase; the final merit list is based on scores from Phase II (Mains) and Phase III.
