Understanding the KSLU 80:20 Evaluation Pattern
KSLU implements an 80:20 evaluation pattern for most three-year and five-year LLB undergraduate programmes. Under this system, 80 marks are allocated for the university written examination, while 20 marks are designated for internal assessment. To pass a subject, students must secure a minimum of 32 out of 80 marks (40%) in the university written examination and an overall 40 out of 100 marks (40%) when combining internal assessment and university examination marks.
The university’s grading system ranges from ‘O’ (Outstanding) for 90% and above to ‘F’ (Fail) for scores below 40%. The online marksheet provided is provisional, with the original marksheet to be issued later by the university or college. Final semester students are advised to apply for their Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) through their respective colleges 15 days after the result announcement.
