Kakatiya Medical College NEET cutoff 2026: general open seat closes at 43,880 by round 2

Kakatiya Medical College, located in Warangal (Hanamkonda District), Telangana, has concluded its second round of NEET counselling for 2026 admissions. As of 22 September 2026, the General (OPEN) seat for the MBBS course at the institution closed at an approximate rank of 43,880.

This closing rank follows a historical pattern of movement in seat allocation, with 113 seats vacated in 2024-2025 by students upgrading to better allotments in later rounds. The college, a government institution affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, admits students based on their NEET scores.

Kakatiya Medical College Admission and Cutoff Trends

Admission to the MBBS course at Kakatiya Medical College is determined by performance in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). The college, established on 23 July 1959, offers a 4.5-year MBBS course followed by a one-year compulsory rotating medical internship. It also provides 23 Post Graduate Courses and one Super Speciality Course.

Historically, the competitiveness for admission to Kakatiya Medical College has seen a trend of rising closing ranks. Expected NEET 2026 Qualifying Marks and Timeline

The NEET UG 2026 exam was held in May 2026, with results expected in June 2026. The NEET 2026 qualifying cutoff will be released concurrently with the NEET result by NTA. The Telangana State Merit List is anticipated after the NEET result, followed by the Telangana MBBS/BDS Seat Matrix before web options/choice filling.

Round 1 and Round 2 cutoffs for Telangana will be released after their respective allotment rounds, with the final Telangana NEET Cutoff 2026 expected after the completion of all counselling rounds. For General/EWS candidates, the expected NEET 2026 qualifying marks are approximately 720-150 at the 50th percentile. For OBC, SC, and ST categories, the expected qualifying marks are approximately 149-115 at the 40th percentile.
