Maharashtra NEET PG 2026 counselling registration ends tomorrow, provisional merit list on October 28

The State CET Cell Maharashtra is closing the online registration window for Maharashtra NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling tomorrow, October 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Aspirants seeking admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in Maharashtra’s medical colleges must complete their registration on the official website, medical2026.mahacet.org, before the deadline.

The counselling process supports admissions to 50% state quota seats in government and corporation colleges, and all seats in private unaided colleges across Maharashtra. The provisional merit list for eligible candidates is scheduled for release on October 28, 2026.

Registration and Fee Payment Details

The online registration for the first round of Maharashtra NEET PG 2026 counselling commenced on October 17, 2026. Following registration, candidates have until October 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM to pay the non-refundable registration fee of INR 3,000. Document uploading is also open until October 24, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The State CET Cell Maharashtra has specified that fee payment can be made via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Online document verification began on October 18, 2026, and will continue until October 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM. This verification is a crucial step for all registered candidates to ensure their eligibility for the subsequent stages of the counselling process.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Documents

To be eligible for Maharashtra NEET PG 2026 counselling, candidates must possess a qualified NEET PG 2026 score, an MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), and have completed their internship before the specified cutoff date. A valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or NMC is also mandatory. For candidates applying under the state quota, a Maharashtra domicile certificate is required.

The required documents for the counselling process include the NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard, MBBS degree certificate, MBBS mark sheets, internship completion certificate, permanent or provisional registration from NMC or State Medical Council, Class 10 mark sheet or birth certificate, domicile and nativity certificate of Maharashtra, caste and non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable), and a valid government-issued photo ID proof.

Counselling Schedule and Subsequent Steps

The State CET Cell Maharashtra has outlined a detailed schedule for the first round of NEET PG 2026 counselling. After the provisional merit list is published on October 28, 2026, candidates will have a window from October 29 to October 30, 2026, to submit any grievances with supporting documents. The Final Provisional State Merit List and In-service State Merit List, along with the CAP Round 1 Seat Matrix, are slated for publication on November 1, 2026.

Online preference and choice filling for CAP Round 1 will take place from November 2 to November 4, 2026, until 11:59 PM. The first selection list for CAP Round 1 is scheduled to be declared on November 5, 2026. Selected candidates will then need to complete physical joining, original document submission, and fee payment between November 6 and November 10, 2026, until 5:30 PM. The seat allocation process is computerised and considers NEET PG rank, candidate category, seat availability, and college preferences.
