The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has initiated the first phase of centralized allotment activities for Post Graduate Medical Degree Courses for the year 2026. This process includes online option registration and the notification of the fee structure for both government and private medical colleges across the state.
Eligible candidates included in the Kerala State Merit List for PG Medical Courses 2026 can now register their preferences. The online option registration facility became active on October 27, 2026, and will close on October 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Allotment and joining schedules will be announced by CEE Kerala at a later date.
Option Registration and Security Deposit Details
Candidates seeking admission must access their home page by clicking ‘PG Medical 2026-Candidate Portal’ on the official CEE Kerala website, cee.kerala.gov.in, and entering their Application Number and Password. Options are registered by selecting the ‘Option Registration’ menu. It is mandatory for candidates to register options only for courses and colleges they are prepared to join if allotted a seat.
A security deposit is required at the time of option registration. General category candidates must pay ₹10,000, while SC/ST/OEC and other fee concession eligible candidates are required to pay ₹5,000. This security deposit will be refunded to eligible candidates after the completion of the entire counselling process. Failure to accept a seat in the first allotment or withdrawing after joining will result in the loss of the allotment, admission, all registered options, and may prevent participation in the second allotment.
| Fee Type | Fee Amount |
|---|---|
| Application fee for General candidates | ₹1000 |
| Application fee for SC/ST candidates | ₹500 |

Counselling Process and Quota Allotments
Allotments will be strictly based on the options exercised by candidates, their NEET PG 2026 rank, and applicable reservations. Allotment to service quota and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) quota seats will occur in subsequent phases. However, service quota and PwD quota candidates who also wish to be considered for other seats must register their options in this current first phase. Only options registered online will be processed; submissions via Post, Fax, or E-mail will not be considered.
Candidates aspiring for admission under the Minority or NRI quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges are also required to register their options online in this first phase. Those who do not register options will not be considered for Minority or NRI quota allotments. The Kerala NEET PG Counselling manages 50% of the State Quota seats, with the remaining 50% All India Quota seats being filled through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling.
Subsequent Counselling Phases and Fee Structure
In the second phase of counselling, fresh option registration will not be available. Candidates will only be able to confirm, delete, or rearrange their existing options. Option confirmation is compulsory to participate in Phase 2. New option registration in Phase 2 is reserved only for newly added courses. If a candidate secures a seat in Phase 1, their higher options are retained, and lower options are automatically deleted, allowing only for upgradation or retention of the current seat.
