NEET UG 2026 round 3 registration begins for Jharkhand state quota seats, apply by 24 September

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) commenced Round 3 registration for NEET UG 2026 counselling on September 20, 2026. This final registration window for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BHMS courses under Jharkhand’s state quota, and for seat upgradation, will close on September 24, 2026, at 6 PM.

Candidates who appeared on the State Merit List from earlier rounds are not required to submit a fresh application for Round 3. However, fresh aspirants who did not register in Rounds 1 or 2 are eligible to apply during this period. The counselling process covers 85% of state quota seats in medical and dental colleges across Jharkhand, which has approximately 1005 medical and 363 dental seats.

Application and Counselling Fees

The registration fee for General, EWS, and OBC candidates is ₹500, while SC, ST, and female candidates are required to pay ₹250. Plus the registration fee, a counselling fee applies. UR and OBC candidates must pay ₹1000, while SC, ST, and women candidates are charged ₹500. Divyang candidates across all categories also have a counselling fee of ₹500.

To be eligible for counselling, candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026. Required documents include the NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, domicile proof, and a category certificate if applicable. The NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted on June 21, 2026, and its results were declared on July 16, 2026.

Key Dates and Admission Process

Following the registration period, the State Merit List and vacant seat matrix will be published on September 25, 2026. Choice filling for Round 3 will then be open from September 28 to October 7, 2026, until 6 PM. Candidates will have an opportunity to edit their filled choices on October 7, 2026, from 6:01 PM to midnight.

Provisional seat allotment letters will be issued between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Document verification and admission at the allotted colleges are scheduled from October 10 to October 14, 2026, which also marks the final admission deadline for Round 3. Candidates who accept a state quota seat and later resign from it will forfeit their security money. Those wishing to move to an All India Quota seat must surrender their state seat by October 3, 2026.
