NMIT MBA 2026: Apply now using CAT/MAT/KMAT/PGCET scores

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) has opened admissions for its full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for the 2026 academic year. The two-year postgraduate management course is designed to develop managerial and leadership skills, with specialisations available in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Business Analytics.

Prospective students can apply for the MBA program through scores obtained in national and state-level entrance examinations including CAT, MAT, KMAT, or PGCET. NMIT, established in 2001 by the NITTE Education Trust, is approved by AICTE, affiliated with VTU, and recognised by UGC, holding NAAC A+ accreditation and NBA certification.

NMIT MBA Fee Structure and Admission Process

The total fee for the two-year MBA program at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, is INR 7 Lakhs. This amount does not include hostel and mess charges, which are levied separately. The institution provides various fee structures based on admission quotas, including PGCET Government Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota.

For candidates seeking admission through the PGCET Government Quota, the indicative annual fees range from ₹50,000 to ₹1.2 Lakh. Management Quota admissions have an approximate annual fee of ₹1.5 Lakh to ₹4 Lakh. NRI candidates can expect annual fees between $5,000 and $10,000. Hostel and mess facilities are charged separately, ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹1,20,000 per year.

Industry Engagement and Practical Exposure

The Department of Business Administration and the Department of Management Studies at NMIT regularly organise various events to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands, providing practical exposure to students. These initiatives aim to develop managerial and leadership skills, explore entrepreneurial mindsets, and enhance employee well-being.

Recent activities include a Guest Talk titled ‘Inside the Marketing Industry: From Strategy to Execution’ by Magesh Balaji G, held on August 14, 2026, for MBA students. An Expert Talk on ‘From Vision to Venture: Building an Entrepreneurial Mindset’ featuring Mr. Ashiq Shetty was organised on August 10, 2026. A three-day Management Development Program (MDP) on ‘Workplace Well-being’ was conducted at ACWA Automatics from March 23–25, 2026. Additionally, a Mock Interview session was organised for Fourth-Semester students on May 24, 2025, to provide realistic interview experience.

Industrial Visits for MBA Students

NMIT places emphasis on industrial visits to provide students with insights into real-world manufacturing processes and business operations. Several such visits have been organised for MBA students across various semesters.

On August 12, 2026, III Semester MBA students visited Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) and Payana Vintage Car Museum in Mysuru. Earlier, on January 29, 2026, 2nd Semester MBA students (2025-2027 batch) visited Fabco India Pvt Ltd and Trinity NDT. First Semester MBA students (Batch 2025–2027) from NITTE (Deemed to be University) – Bengaluru Campus visited Ace Designers Ltd on September 27, 2025. Other industrial visits for the 2025–2027 batch included Rittal Pvt, Ltd on September 16, 2025, and Silver Spark Apparels Ltd on September 9, 2025. Fourth Semester MBA students also visited Silver Spark Apparel Ltd. on May 21 and 22, 2025.

Conferences and Guest Lectures

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) organized ERMA 2025, an international conference on “Sustainable Business Practices: Institutional Responsibilities and Opportunities,” on February 27 and 28, 2025, in Bengaluru. The two-day event featured seven thematic panels with academicians and industry experts, fostering discussions on sustainability. The conference received over 150 research paper submissions, with awards given to the top three faculty/corporate and student papers. Mr. Kaushlendra Narayan, Director of Operations at Silverpark Apparel Ltd, delivered the keynote address as Chief Guest, providing industry perspectives.

The Department of Management Studies at NMIT also organized a Guest Lecture titled “Creativity and Innovation for New Age Leaders and Marketers” for first-year MBA students on February 25, 2025. Dr. Mahesh Pavan S, Program Manager from Workstream Lead WFF IT India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, served as the resource person for this session.
