RRB JE CBT 1 city intimation slip 2026 out: check exam city, date, shift timing

Accessing the City Intimation Slip and Admit Card

Candidates are required to use their registration number and date of birth to download the RRB JE CBT 1 City Intimation Slip 2026. While the slip informs candidates about their exam logistics, it is not valid for entry into the examination centre. The official RRB JE Admit Card 2026 for CBT 1 will be issued on October 23, 2026, which candidates must download and carry a hard copy of, along with a valid photo ID, to the exam hall.

RRB Je Recruitment Overview and Exam Structure

The RRB JE recruitment process, under CEN 04/2026, aims to fill 4,029 Junior Engineer positions. The application period for these vacancies ran from August 14, 2026, to September 13, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of January 1, 2027, and hold a Degree or Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.

The selection process for Junior Engineer posts involves multiple stages: Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT 1), Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT 2), Document Verification, and a Medical Examination. The initial pay for a Junior Engineer is ₹35,400 per month, along with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA).

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for CBT 1 and CBT 2

The CBT 1 examination consists of 100 questions for 100 marks, with a duration of 90 minutes. It includes sections on Mathematics, General Awareness & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. A negative marking of 1/3 mark is applied for each incorrect answer in CBT 1.

Candidates who qualify in CBT 1 will proceed to CBT 2, which comprises 150 questions for 150 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes. CBT 2 covers General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities.
