The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has extended the deadline for advance registration for Classes 9 and 11, and examination applications for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 academic session. The new deadline for these processes is October 22, 2026, as announced in a notification dated October 16, 2026.

This extension primarily benefits 5,905 schools across Uttar Pradesh that were unable to generate, download, and submit the required student lists within the earlier stipulated time. The previous deadline for these submissions, including forwarding documents to the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office, was October 15, 2026.

Reason for the Extension and Affected Schools

The UPMSP extended the deadline specifically because 5,905 schools in Uttar Pradesh encountered difficulties in preparing the necessary student lists within the original timeframe. These lists are crucial for the advance registration of students in Classes 9 and 11, as well as for the examination applications of students in Classes 10 and 12 for the upcoming 2026-27 academic session. The board has instructed the principals of these institutions to ensure all pending formalities are completed by the revised deadline.

The extension grants these affected schools an additional seven days to finalise the required documentation. This includes generating or downloading student lists, verifying student details, ensuring candidate photographs are included, and attaching copies of the relevant treasury challans or fee receipts. All these documents must be submitted to the respective District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office.

Registration and Application Process Details

The extended deadline applies to two main categories: advance registration for students in Classes 9 and 11 for the 2026-27 academic session (examination year 2028), and candidate lists associated with applications for the 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations for Classes 10 and 12. The student lists submitted must include photographs of candidates and a prescribed fund letter or treasury challan. These documents are to be submitted to the office of the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), which will then forward them to the concerned regional office for further processing.

The schedule for advance registration for Class 9 and 11, and institutional applications for High School and Intermediate Examination Year 2027, was initially released on June 18, 2026. Individual applications for the 2027 examinations followed on July 25, 2026. The UPMSP official website, upmsp.edu.in, provides comprehensive registration information and notices for the 2026–27 academic session.

Key Deadlines and Fee Structure

Prior to this extension, several deadlines were in place for various stages of the registration and application process.
