UP NEET MDS 2026 round 2 merit list released: fill choices by September 24

Candidates eligible for the second round of counselling for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses can access the list and proceed with choice filling on the official website, upneet.gov.in.

The current counselling process for MDS admissions follows the schedule set by DGME Uttar Pradesh, with key dates for choice filling and seat allotment now active. This round is crucial for candidates seeking admission to MDS programmes in the state.

UP NEET MDS Round 2 Counselling Schedule

Following the release of the merit list, the choice filling window for UP NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 commenced. Candidates must complete their choice filling by September 24, 2026. The subsequent seat allotment result is scheduled for September 25, 2026, after which successful candidates will be required to report to their allotted colleges.

Context of Counselling Procedures

The online counselling process for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats is overseen by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. This process adheres to orders issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on March 23, 2012, and May 9, 2017, ensuring a standardised and legally compliant admission procedure.

Earlier, the DGME Uttar Pradesh had postponed the publication of the UP NEET UG Round 2 Merit List 2026 due to “unavoidable circumstances,” as per official notification ME-3/2026/1692 issued on September 17, 2026. The revised schedule for UP NEET UG Round 2 counselling included a merit list release on September 21, 2026, choice filling from September 21-24, 2026, seat allotment result on September 25, 2026, and reporting to college from September 26-October 1, 2026.
