There is no application fee for the UP Scholarship, making it accessible to all eligible candidates.

2. Click on the ‘Student’ section and then select ‘New Registration’ for fresh applicants or ‘Renewal Login’ for renewal candidates.
3. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process if applying for the first time.
4. Fill in all required personal, academic, and income details accurately.
5. Upload necessary documents, including income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and Aadhaar details.
6. Verify all entered information carefully before final submission.
7. Print the final application form for future reference.

Must Have: Aadhar-linked Bank Account

The scholarship payments, once approved, will be transferred directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. This matters a lot that the bank account is in the student’s own name and is successfully linked with their Aadhaar number to ensure smooth and timely disbursement. For Dashmottar applicants, scholarship payments are scheduled to be disbursed via PFMS between December 01 and December 31, 2026.

Understanding Fresh and Renewal Applications

The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department distinguishes between fresh and renewal applications to smooth out the process. A ‘Fresh application’ is designated for students who are applying for the scholarship for the for starters time in their current course of study. This typically includes students entering Classes 9 and 11, or those starting a new degree or diploma program.

Conversely, a ‘Renewal application’ is for students who successfully received the UP Scholarship in the previous academic year and are continuing in the same course. This category primarily includes students in Classes 10 and 12, as well as those in subsequent years of their Dashmottar degree or diploma programs.
