The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) released the provisional answer key for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2026 on October 5, 2026. This release allows candidates to calculate their probable scores and provides a window to raise objections against any discrepancies in the provisional answers. Accessing the Provisional Answer Key and Raising Objections
Candidates can download the provisional answer key for all four sets (A, B, C, D) of question papers from the official portals. To access the answer key, candidates are required to enter their UTET 2026 registration number and password. The provisional answer key was released on October 5, 2026, aligning with the historical trend of UBSE publishing answer keys within four to seven days of the examination.
The UBSE has provided a specific window for candidates to submit objections to the provisional answer key. As per the official notification, any candidate with an objection to a question or answer must submit their representation online by October 15, 2026, at 11:59 pm. This requires logging in with their registration ID and password on www.ukutet.com and uploading supporting evidence. No objections will be accepted after this deadline or through any other medium.
UTET 2026 Examination Structure and Important Dates
The UTET 2026 examination consists of two papers: Paper I for the Primary Level (Classes 1-5) and Paper II for the Upper Primary Level (Classes 6-8). Each paper contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark, for a total of 150 marks. There is no negative marking in UTET 2026. The online application process for UTET 2026 commenced on July 14, 2026, with the registration closing on August 9, 2026, and fee payment by August 11, 2026.
Admit cards for the examination were made available on September 22, 2026. The application fee for a single paper (Paper-I or II) was Rs. 600 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and Rs. 300 for SC, ST, and PH candidates. For candidates appearing for both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee was Rs. 1000 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, and Rs. 500 for SC, ST, and PH categories.
