• Personal and Academic Details: Candidates will also need their date of birth, contact details, parent/guardian details, communication address, degree details, and institute/college information.
• Exam Preferences: Details of the GATE paper(s) selected and six preferred examination cities from the same zone.
• Fee Payment Details: Internet banking, debit/credit card, UPI or wallet details for paying the application fee.

GATE 2027 Important Dates

The GATE 2027 registration window officially opened on August 14, 2026, following the release of the information brochure on July 20, 2026. Candidates have until September 21, 2026, to complete their registration without incurring a late fee. Those who miss this deadline can still register with a late fee until September 30, 2026.
