Gujarat NEET MDS 2026 round 3 registration opens: apply by October 2

The Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Gujarat, has commenced online registration for Round 3 of Gujarat NEET MDS 2026 admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. Concurrently, a window has been opened for candidates to cancel admissions secured in Round 1 or Round 2.

This third round of admissions aims to fill vacant seats in MDS degree courses across government and self-financed dental colleges in Gujarat, with the process conducted strictly on the basis of candidate merit. The entire admission process for 100% of seats in all MDS colleges in Gujarat, encompassing Government Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota, is managed online by the Admission Committee.

Gujarat NEET MDS Round 3 Registration and Key Dates

The online PIN purchase and registration process for Gujarat NEET MDS 2026 Round 3 began on October 1, 2026. Candidates have until October 2, 2026, 3:00 pm, to purchase the online PIN, and until October 2, 2026, 5:00 pm, to complete online registration. Document verification and submission of photocopies are scheduled for October 3, 2026, between 10:00 am and 12 noon.

Candidates participating in Round 3 must purchase an online PIN by paying Rs 28,000. This fee includes a non-refundable amount of Rs 3,000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs 25,000. Candidates who previously purchased a PIN in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not complete online registration, or those who registered online but did not complete application verification, are not required to purchase a new PIN.

Eligibility and Admission Cancellation for Round 3

Eligibility for Round 3 extends to candidates who qualified NEET-PG (MDS) 2026 and meet the specified requirements. This includes students who did not register in Round 1 or Round 2, or those who did not confirm admission after seat allotment in Round 2, having exited with forfeiture of their refundable security deposit.

Candidates who wish to cancel their confirmed admissions from Round 1 or Round 2 can do so by visiting their respective Help Centre in person between October 1, 2026, and October 3, 2026, until 12 noon. If a candidate is unable to attend, a parent or representative may carry an ‘Authority Letter’ signed by the candidate. Fees will be adjusted if a candidate secures admission in the third round, and will be refunded after the completion of the admission process if no admission is taken.

Seat Conversion Rules and Counselling Schedules

During the third round allotment process, specific seat conversion rules will apply to tweak seat use. Vacant NRI seats will be converted to Management seats, and later, vacant Management seats will be converted to Government seats. Also, vacant Reserved Category State seats, including those for SC, ST, SEBC, and EWS, will be converted to OPEN State seats.

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, is doing online counselling for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats. The NEET-MDS 2026 counselling schedule for Round 3 (All India Quota) is set to run from October 3 to October 11, 2026, with the last joining date being October 19, 2026. For the State Quota, counselling runs from October 6 to October 12, 2026, also with a last joining date of October 19, 2026.
