Examination Structure and Participating Institutes

The CEED 2027 examination is divided into two parts: Part-A and Part-B. Part-A consists of objective questions, including Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), and Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), with answers to be provided on the computer. Part-B assesses design, drawing, and writing skills, where questions are displayed on the computer screen, and answers must be written in a provided answer book.

The final score for CEED 2027 is calculated by assigning a weightage of 0.25 to marks scored in Part-A and 0.75 to marks scored in Part-B. A CEED score remains valid for one year from the date the result is declared. CEED does not conduct any centralized counseling or joint seat allocation. Candidates who qualify must apply directly and separately to each participating institute they are interested in. IIT Gandhinagar was added as a CEED participating institute in 2026, joining others such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, IISc Bangalore, and IIITDM Kancheepuram.
