Application Fee Structure and Eligibility
The application fee for GATE 2027 is non-refundable and varies by candidate category and registration period. Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates pay ₹1,000 during the regular window and ₹1,500 during the extended window. All other candidates, including General and OBC categories, are charged ₹2,000 for regular registration and ₹2,500 for extended registration. Photograph and Signature Specifications

The image should have a plain white background, and the candidate’s face must cover 60–70% of the image, without caps, sunglasses, or glare on spectacles.
Signatures must also be in JPEG/JPG format, with a file size ranging from 3 KB to 300 KB. The signature should be in dark blue or black ink on plain white paper, covering 70–80% of the image area, and not be in all capital letters or initials only. Adherence to these specifications is crucial to avoid application rejection.
