AP EDCET 2026 Phase 1 Counselling Schedule

Following the registration period, online certificate verification is scheduled to take place from October 6 to 19, 2026. A dedicated day, October 13, 2026, has been set aside for special category verification. Candidates will then be able to exercise their web options for Phase 1 from October 14 to 18, 2026, with an opportunity to make changes to these options on October 19, 2026.

The Phase 1 seat allotment result is slated for release on October 23, 2026. Then, candidates who have been allotted seats must complete their self-reporting to the respective colleges between October 24 and 27, 2026. The counselling process is conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

Registration Requirements and Fees

Candidates must meet the specified eligibility requirements for B.Ed. or B.Ed. Special Education programmes. An Aadhaar-based authentication process is mandatory for Phase 1 counselling registration, and the details provided during registration must accurately match supporting documents. The registration and processing fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 400/-, while for other categories, it is Rs. 600/-. Admissions are divided into a Convener quota, accounting for 75% of seats, and a Management quota, which covers the remaining 25%.

Background of AP EDCET 2026

The AP EDCET 2026 entrance exam was conducted on May 8, 2026, in two shifts: 9 AM to 11 AM and 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The exam is a computer-based test with 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark, and no negative marking. The AP EDCET Result 2026 was released on May 26, 2026.

The application window for AP EdCET 2026 opened on February 11, 2026, with the last date for registration without a late fee being March 15, 2026. There is no upper age limit to apply for AP EdCET 2026. The minimum qualifying marks in the Common Entrance Test for all candidates, excluding SC/ST, are 37 out of the total marks (25%).
