MAHE has released the MET 2026 Phase 1 scores on manipal.edu for exams held on April 13-14. Candidates can log in to download scorecards, while registration for Phase 2 remains open until April 26 for those seeking score improvement

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has officially declared the results for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 Phase 1. Candidates who appeared for the computer-based entrance exam on April 13 and 14, 2026, can now access their scorecards through the official university portal.

The release marks the first major milestone for thousands of engineering and professional degree aspirants seeking admission into prestigious institutions like the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT).

How to Check MET 2026 Phase 1 Results?

Checking your score is a straightforward process. MAHE has made the results available online to ensure quick access for all candidates. Follow these steps to view your performance:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to manipal.edu or the dedicated results portal at results.manipal.edu.

  2. Login to the Portal: Locate the link for “MET 2026 Phase 1 Result/Scorecard.”

  3. Enter Credentials: Use your registered email ID and password (or application number/OTBS password as specified during registration).

  4. Navigate to Entrance Test Tab: Once logged in, click on the ‘Entrance Test’ tab to view your marks.

  5. Download and Print: View your scorecard and download a PDF copy. It is highly recommended to keep a printed version for the upcoming counseling sessions.

Note: Many candidates have also received their scores via SMS and email notifications directly from the university.

Understanding Your MET Scorecard

The current release provides the raw scores obtained in the Phase 1 exam. It is important to note that the MET 2026 Rank List will be released separately at a later date, typically after both phases of the exam are concluded.

Marking Scheme Recap:

  • Total Marks: 240

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): +4 for every correct answer; -1 for every wrong answer.

  • Numerical Answer Type (NAT): +4 for every correct answer; no negative marking for incorrect entries.

A score of 160+ is generally considered excellent and often places a candidate within the top 1,000 ranks, making them eligible for top-tier branches like Computer Science at the Manipal main campus.

What’s Next for Aspirants?

The MET 2026 journey doesn’t end with Phase 1. Students have several options moving forward depending on their performance:

1. Register for Phase 2

If you missed the first phase or are unhappy with your current score, you can still apply for Phase 2

  • Registration Deadline: April 26, 2026.

  • Exam Dates: May 23 and 24, 2026.

  • Best of Two: For students appearing in both phases, Manipal considers the higher of the two scores for the final merit list.

2. Counseling and Admissions

The consolidated merit list, which incorporates both MET scores and Class 12 board marks (with equal weightage), is expected in June 2026. The counseling process will likely begin in the second week of June, where students will choose their preferred courses and campuses based on their ranks.

3. Document Preparation

Candidates should start organizing their documents, including their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, MET scorecard, and ID proofs, to ensure a smooth verification process during seat allotment.
