AIIMS M.Sc Nursing Counselling 2026: Round 1 Choice Filling Begins at aiimsexams.ac.in

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially started the online counselling process for M.Sc Nursing admissions for the August 2026 session. Candidates who cleared the entrance exam on June 27 can now log in to the official portal to choose their preferred colleges and specialities.

If you want to secure an M.Sc Nursing seat at any of the participating AIIMS campuses across India, here is a complete breakdown of the updated schedule, the choice-filling process, and the rules for upgrading.

Official Counselling Schedule (Round 1 & 2)

AIIMS has set a strict timeline for the first two rounds of online seat allotment. Missing a deadline can cost you your seat, so note these dates carefully:

Event Date and Time
Round 1 Choice Filling & Locking Open now until July 18, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)
Round 1 Seat Allotment Result July 25, 2026
Accepting Seats & Document Submission July 27 to August 1, 2026 (Monโ€“Fri up to 4 PM, Sat up to 12 PM)
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result August 12, 2026
Round 2 Reporting & Document Verification August 13 to August 21, 2026

Available Nursing Specialities

When you log into the portal, you will be able to select from several advanced clinical specialities depending on what the different AIIMS campuses offer. These include:

  • Medical-Surgical Nursing

  • Pediatric (Child Health) Nursing

  • Obstetric & Gynecological Nursing

  • Community Health Nursing

  • Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing

How to Fill Your Choices Online?

The entire seat allocation process is happening online. Follow these simple steps to lock in your options:

1. Log In to the Portal:ย

Go to the official website: aiimsexams.ac.in. Use your candidate ID, password, and Registration Unique Code (RUC) to log into your dashboard.

2. Access the Counselling Link:

Click on the link for ‘M.Sc Nursing Online Seat Allocation’ or ‘Counselling Registration’ on your main page.

3. Select and Arrange Choices:

Choose your preferred AIIMS campuses and nursing specialties. Arrange them in order of priority, placing your top choice at number one. Tip: There is no limit to how many combinations you can add, so list all your preferences.

4. Review and Lock:ย

Double-check your preferred list carefully. Once satisfied, click on Lock Choices before 5:00 PM on July 18. Save or print a copy of the confirmation page.

What Happens After Round 1 Allotment?

Once the results come out on July 25, you will have to log back into the portal. You will generally be given two options if you receive a seat:

  • Option 1: Accept the allotted seat and declare that you do not want to participate in further counselling rounds.

  • Option 2: Accept the allotted seat but indicate that you want to participate in Round 2 to try for an upgrade (a better college or speciality choice).

Crucial Rule: If you are allotted a seat and choose Option 2, you still must report to your Round 1 college and submit your documents. If you get upgraded in Round 2, your Round 1 seat will automatically go to someone else, and you will move to the new college.

Documents Needed for Campus Reporting

If you are allotted a seat, you must bring the original copies of these documents to your designated AIIMS campus for verification:

  • AIIMS M.Sc Nursing 2026 Admit Card & Merit Letter

  • Round 1 Seat Allotment Letter (downloaded from the portal)

  • Class 10 and 12 Marksheets/Certificates (for age and basic verification)

  • B.Sc Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing Degree certificate and marksheet

  • Valid Registration Certificate as a Nurse or Midwife with any State Nursing Council

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if you claimed a reserved seat

Note: Unlocked choices will be auto-locked by the system at the deadline on July 18, but it is always safer to review and lock them manually to avoid mistakes. Keep visiting aiimsexams.ac.in for official seat matrices and urgent updates.
