The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 12 special examinations for students appearing from West Asian countries. These examinations are scheduled to be held from October 23 to October 28, 2026, with admit cards becoming available for download from October 12, 2026.

The special examinations are being conducted for candidates whose subjects could not be held during the regular March-April 2026 examination period due to prevailing circumstances in the region. This follows a circular issued on September 15, 2026, for the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for these special examinations.

Examination Schedule and Timings

The special examinations will commence on October 23, 2026, and conclude on October 28, 2026, with a break scheduled for October 25, 2026. Most papers will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, examinations for Physical Activity Trainer (Subject Code 845) and Artificial Intelligence (Subject Code 843) are scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The examination schedule includes a range of subjects such as Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Psychology, Business Studies, Biology, Information Technology, Marketing, Multimedia, Home Science, Informatics Practices, Computer Science, and English Core. The special examination notification is dated October 8, 2026 (CBSE/Coord/WASE/2026/).

Admit Card Download and Examination Centres

Admit cards for the special examinations will be available for download from October 12, 2026, onwards. Candidates can access their admit cards by logging in on the official website, www.cbse.gov.in, using the same credentials that were used for application submission. An official notice stated, “Candidates are requested to download their admit cards from 12 October 2026 onwards, from the same login they applied for, and appear for examinations as per date sheet enclosed.”

One examination centre has been fixed in each West Asian country, based on the List of Candidates (LOC) submitted by the respective candidates. It is mandatory for all candidates to carry their admit cards to the examination hall. The board has not yet announced the result date and time for these special examinations. Candidates are advised to remain in contact with their respective schools for the latest updates regarding the examination process.
