DRDO internship 2026: apply for 30 paid opportunities by October 11

The Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has opened applications for 30 paid internship positions. These opportunities are available for engineering and postgraduate science students, providing hands-on experience in advanced defense research projects at the CASDIC facility in Bengaluru.

The application window for these internships will remain open until October 11, 2026. The program aims to expose eligible students to ongoing research and development activities within DRDO, with selected candidates receiving a monthly stipend for the six-month duration.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

To be eligible for the DRDO CASDIC internship, B.E./B.Tech students must be in their final year of an engineering degree and possess a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in all previous semesters. M.Sc. students must be in their second year of a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 70% marks in their first-year examination. All applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course from an AICTE or UGC-approved College/University and be below 25 years of age.

The selection process will involve an assessment of marks scored in previous examinations, followed by an online interview or interaction. Successful candidates will be informed about the joining procedures via the email ID provided in their application form. To apply, prospective interns should visit the official DRDO website at drdo.gov.in, locate and click on the ‘DRDO Internship 2026’ link, fill out the application form, and submit it to hrd.casdic@gov.in.

Internship Details and Stipend Structure

The internship program is structured for a period of six months. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month. This stipend is applicable only if the student maintains a minimum presence of 15 working days per month at the CASDIC lab. The stipend payment will be disbursed in two instalments: the first after three months of joining and the second upon the completion of the full six-month period. Completion Certificates will be issued to interns only after the successful conclusion of the entire six-month duration from their date of joining.
