JoSAA Counselling Round 3 Seat Acceptance Fees

Candidates allotted a seat in JoSAA Round 3 must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) during the online reporting period to confirm their allotment and continue the admission process. The fee is adjusted against the institute admission fee, while a fixed processing charge is retained by JoSAA.

  1. Visit the official JoSAA website.
  2. Click on the Round 3 Seat Allotment link.
  3. Log in using your JEE Main application number (or JEE Advanced credentials, as applicable) and password.
  4. View your allotted institute and programme.
  5. Download and save the Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip for future admission formalities.

  2. Navigate to the Opening and Closing Ranks (OR-CR) section under the eServices tab.

  5. Select the institute name, academic programme, and seat category/quota.

What to Do After Checking JoSAA Round 3 Allotment

After checking the Round 3 seat allotment result, candidates must complete the online reporting process within the stipulated deadline. This includes:

  • Accept the allotted seat.
  • Choose one of the three seat acceptance options:
    • Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds.
    • Float: Accept the current seat but remain eligible for a better preference across participating institutes in subsequent rounds.
    • Slide: Accept the allotted institute but seek an upgrade to a more preferred programme within the same institute.
  • Upload the required documents for verification.
  • Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee online.
  • Respond to any queries raised by the verifying authority, if applicable.
