The JoSAA Round 3 result 2026 is scheduled to be announced today, July 6, for candidates participating in the ongoing JoSAA counselling 2026 process. The seat allotment is expected to be released at 5 pm. It will determine admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIEST Shibpur, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) based on candidates’ JEE Main or JEE Advanced ranks, preferences filled during choice locking, and seat availability.

JoSAA Counselling Round 3 Seat Acceptance Fees

Candidates allotted a seat in JoSAA Round 3 must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) during the online reporting period to confirm their allotment and continue the admission process. The fee is adjusted against the institute admission fee, while a fixed processing charge is retained by JoSAA.

Note: The Seat Acceptance Fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking, or SBI e-Challan. Failure to pay the fee within the Round 3 reporting deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

3. Select Round 3 from the drop-down menu (activated at 5 pm).

5. Select the institute name, academic programme, and seat category/quota.
6. Click Submit to view the opening and closing ranks for your selected combination.

What to Do After Checking JoSAA Round 3 Allotment

After checking the Round 3 seat allotment result, candidates must complete the online reporting process within the stipulated deadline. This includes:

• Accept the allotted seat.
• Choose one of the three seat acceptance options:
  • Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds.
  • Float: Accept the current seat but remain eligible for a better preference across participating institutes in subsequent rounds.
  • Slide: Accept the allotted institute but seek an upgrade to a more preferred programme within the same institute.
• Upload the required documents for verification.
• Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee online.
• Respond to any queries raised by the verifying authority, if applicable.
• Download and save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.

Candidates who do not complete the reporting formalities, document verification, or fee payment within the prescribed deadline may lose their allotted seat and become ineligible for further counselling rounds.
