NEET UG Refund 2026 Deadline Extended Till 7th July: Check Official Notification, Process & More

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for the NEET UG 2026 refund portal. The new NEET UG refund deadline is 7th July 2026 (11:50 pm) Eligible candidates can now view, confirm, correct, or update their bank account details until. The extension has been granted to ensure that no candidate misses out on receiving the refund due to incorrect or incomplete banking information.The previous deadline issued by NTA was June 30th, 2026. 

According to the NTA, this is the final opportunity for eligible candidates to verify their bank details before the refund process is completed. Refunds have already begun for candidates whose bank account information has been successfully verified.

Why Has the NEET Refund 2026 Deadline Been Extended?

The refund portal was initially scheduled to close earlier, but NTA observed that several candidates had either not verified their bank account details or had submitted incorrect information. To avoid delays or failed refund transactions, the agency has reopened the portal until July 7, 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete the verification process well before the deadline, as NTA has indicated that no further opportunity is likely to be provided after the extended window closes.

What is the NEET UG Refund 2026 Process?

The refund process has been introduced following the cancellation of the original NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026. NTA is refunding the examination fee directly to eligible candidates through bank transfer after verifying their banking details. Candidates must ensure that the account information entered on the portal is accurate, as refunds will only be credited to the verified bank account submitted by the candidate.

How to Add Bank Details for NEET UG Refund 2026

Candidates can update their banking information by following these steps:

1. Visit the official NEET UG portal.
2. Click on the ‘Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on 03 May 2026)’ notification. 
3. Log in using your Application Number, Password and CAPTCHA. 
4. Review the existing bank account details and complete the two factor authentication.
5. Add, correct, or update the required bank information.
6. Candidates can also upload a cancelled cheque to confirm the bank details. 
7. Verify the details carefully and submit the form.
8. Download or save the confirmation page for future reference.

What Will Be The NEET UG Refund 2026 Amount?

The NTA will refund the full NEET UG 2026 application fee paid by eligible candidates, with the amount varying according to the registration category.

Note: The refund amount is equal to the application fee originally paid during NEET UG 2026 registration. Eligible candidates are required to confirm or update their bank account details through the official refund portal for the amount to be credited. The NTA has extended the bank details verification window until July 7, 2026.
