TG SET 2026 hall ticket likely today: download from telanganaset.org for September 28 exam

Osmania University, Hyderabad, is expected to release the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG SET) 2026 Hall Ticket today, September 24, 2026. Candidates who applied for the examination will be able to download their admit cards from the official website, telanganaset.org, once the download link is activated. The TG SET 2026 examination is scheduled to take place on September 28, 29, and 30, 2026.

The TG SET is conducted to determine eligibility for appointment as Assistant Professor or Lecturer in universities and colleges across Telangana. The examination will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode, covering 29 subjects. The official date and time for the activation of the hall-ticket download link have not yet been announced by Osmania University.

Tg SET 2026 Examination Schedule and Pattern

The TG SET 2026 examination will span three days, from September 28 to September 30, 2026, with two shifts each day. The exam comprises two papers: Paper I, a General Paper, and Paper II, which is subject-specific. The total duration for both papers combined is 3 hours, with a maximum score of 300 marks.

Paper I consists of 50 questions for 100 marks, while Paper II has 100 questions for 200 marks. The examination will be conducted at 9 centres across the state. The hall ticket is expected to contain essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, registration/application number, photograph, signature, subject and subject code, examination date and shift, examination centre name, address, and centre code.

Application Process and Fees

The online application process for TG-SET 2026 commenced on August 3, 2026. The last date for submission of online applications without a late fee was September 5, 2026. A window for editing application forms was provided from September 13 to September 15, 2026. The examination fees varied by category.

For General (UR) category candidates, the fee was 2000/- Rupees. Candidates belonging to the BC/EWS categories paid 1500/- Rupees, while those from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender categories were charged 1000/- Rupees. The TG SET is conducted under the provision that allows State Governments and Union Territories to conduct their own eligibility tests, as envisaged by the Government of India’s New Educational Policy, 1986, to maintain uniform teaching standards and address regional subject characteristics.

Examination Centres and Next Steps for Candidates

The TG SET 2026 examination will be conducted across nine centres in Telangana. These centres include Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Warangal, Khammam, and Rangareddy. Candidates are advised to check their allotted centre details on their hall tickets.

Upon the release of the hall tickets, candidates must download them from telanganaset.org. This matters a lot for candidates to verify all details on their admit cards and contact the authorities immediately in case of any discrepancies. A printout of the hall ticket must be carried to the examination centre along with a valid photo identification for entry.
