These exams for Class 10 students began on September 23, 2026, and will conclude on September 30, 2026. The SSLC mid-term exams cover approximately 50% of the Class 10 syllabus, specifically the portion taught between June and August 2026.

As of September 22, 2026, the 2026-27 mid-term question papers for Science and First Language Exam were already available for SSLC students. The SSLC exams include a written paper for applicable core and language subjects carrying 80 marks, with an additional 20 marks through Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA). Students receive 15 minutes of reading time before writing the paper. First Language and core-subject papers have a duration of 3 hours, while Second and Third Language papers are 2 hours and 45 minutes long.
