WB NEET PG 2026 counselling round 1 registration ongoing: apply by October 28

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has initiated the online registration process for WB NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling. Aspirants seeking admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in state quota, private management, and NRI quota seats across West Bengal can register on the official website, wbmcc.nic.in.

The registration portal, which opened at 11:00 AM on October 22, 2026, will close at 6:00 PM on October 28, 2026. The counselling process covers MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses under the applicable West Bengal state quota rules, with 50% of State Quota seats for Post-Graduate courses in Medical and Dental allotted through online counselling at the state level.

Application Process and Key Deadlines

Candidates must complete their online registration and fee payment by the stipulated deadlines. The online fee payment facility will remain open until 12:00 Midnight on October 28, 2026. Applicants are advised to review all submitted details thoroughly, as errors can only be rectified before the non-refundable registration fee is paid.

To apply online, candidates need to visit wbmcc.nic.in, click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’, enter their NEET PG roll number and application number, and submit personal and academic details. After making the required fee payment, candidates should download the Candidate Profile Letter, which will be necessary for physical document verification.

Eligibility and Fee Structure

Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2026, completed a one-year compulsory internship by August 2026, and hold a valid provisional or permanent registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the West Bengal Medical Council. The counselling fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment of ₹3,000.

On top of the counselling fee, security deposits are required for certain categories of seats. For private college State Quota seats, the security deposit is ₹2,00,000, while for private college Management Quota seats, it is ₹5,00,000. NRI candidates are exempt from physical verification at this initial stage of the process.

Document Verification and Subsequent Steps

Physical document verification is a mandatory step for most applicants and is scheduled from October 26 to October 29, 2026, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Candidates are advised to complete this verification within the scheduled timeframe to qualify for choice filling. The Verified Candidate List and Seat Matrix will be published on October 30, 2026, after 2:00 PM.

Following verification, online choice filling and choice locking will be available from October 30 (4:00 PM) to November 1, 2026 (12:00 Midnight). The Round 1 Seat Allotment Result is slated for release on November 4, 2026, after 4:00 PM. Successful candidates must report for admission at their allotted colleges on November 5, 6, 7, or 10, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
