KLEE 2026 Three-Year LLB stray round option registration begins: apply by October 3

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala commenced the option registration process for the KLEE 2026 Three-Year LLB Stray Vacancy Allotment today, September 30, 2026. This process is designed to fill seats that remain vacant or arise after the initial vacant seat allotment for admission to the three-Year LLB course.

Candidates included in the KLEE Three-Year LLB 2026 rank list released by CEE Kerala and who meet the eligibility requirements can participate by registering fresh options on the official CEE Kerala website. The registration window will close on October 3, 2026, at 11 AM.

Eligibility and Participation Rules

Only candidates from the KLEE Three-Year LLB 2026 rank list who fulfill the eligibility criteria are permitted to register options for the stray vacancy allotment. The CEE Kerala has specified that candidates who have already secured admission or received an allotment in the prior vacant seat allotment are not eligible to participate in this or any subsequent allotment phases. A seat allotted through this stray vacancy round cannot be changed later, and recipients will not be eligible for any further allotments, irrespective of whether they complete the admission process.

The CEE Kerala stated, “Candidates who are already admitted to a college cannot participate in the stray vacancy allotment.” It further clarified, “Candidates who received an allotment in the vacant seat allotment are also not eligible.” Regarding the finality of the allotment, the CEE Kerala emphasized, “A seat allotted through the stray vacancy allotment cannot be changed later,” and “Candidates who receive a seat in the stray vacancy allotment will not be eligible for any subsequent allotment, irrespective of whether they complete admission.”

Option Registration Fees

Candidates participating in the KLEE 2026 Three-Year LLB stray vacancy allotment are required to pay a non-refundable option registration fee. The fee structure varies based on the candidate’s category.

The CEE Kerala will separately publish the schedule for the KLEE 2026 stray round allotment and college joining. If seats remain vacant after this round, the CEE Kerala may conduct a second-round stray vacancy allotment or a college-level stray vacancy allotment.

Admission Process and Required Documents

Candidates who receive a seat in the stray vacancy allotment must report to their allotted college within the joining period specified by CEE Kerala. At the time of admission, it is mandatory to present all original certificates and documents required by the institution. Also, candidates will be taking care of paying the applicable tuition fees, other fees, and any deposits at the allotted institution.

The Entrance Commissionerate, established in 1983, is responsible for conducting entrance examinations and managing allotments for various professional degree and post-graduate courses based on merit and communal reservation. The KLEE 2026 counselling process includes the release of the rank list, category list, web options process, provisional seat allotment, final seat allotment, mop-up allotment, and stray vacancy filling. The KLEE 2026 exam, conducted in online (CBT) mode, included 200 MCQs, carried a total of 600 marks, and had a negative marking of -1 for each incorrect answer. The syllabus covered General English, General Knowledge, Arithmetic & Mental Ability, and Legal Aptitude.
