MAH 5-year LLB CAP 2026 institutional round merit list out; report to colleges by October 4

The Maharashtra CET Cell today, September 30, 2026, released the merit list for the MAH 5-Year LLB CAP 2026 Institutional Round. The admission schedule for this round has also been published. Candidates who participated in the Institutional Round can access the merit list on the official portal, llb5cap26.mahacet.org.

This round is designed to fill seats that remained vacant after the completion of three centralised allotment rounds for the MAH 5-Year LLB CAP 2026. The Institutional Round is the final admission window for LLB seats for the 2026-27 academic year, covering 14 universities across Maharashtra, including Savitribai Phule Pune University, University of Mumbai, and Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Admission Process and Key Dates for Institutional Round

Candidates selected in the Institutional Round must report to their allotted colleges between October 1 and October 4, 2026, to confirm their admission. Colleges generated their merit lists today, September 30, 2026, following the option filling window for candidates from September 26 to September 28, 2026. The final cutoff for admission confirmation is October 5, 2026. Missing the October 4 reporting deadline will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat, as there will be no separate spot round after this cutoff.

Only CAP-registered candidates for MAH LLB 2026 who completed option filling for this stage are eligible for this round. The Institutional Round utilises the same CET Cell scores as the earlier centralised rounds, and the final admission decision rests with the individual college.

Required Documents and Verification Procedure

Candidates reporting to colleges for admission must carry original documents along with one photocopy set for verification. This includes the MAH CET 2026 scorecard, the college allotment letter, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and passing certificates, and a School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate. An Aadhaar card or valid photo identity proof is also mandatory.

Also, candidates must present domicile, caste, and non-creamy layer certificates if applicable, along with recent passport-size photographs. Upon arrival at the college, candidates must complete document verification at the admission desk, pay the admission fee in an accepted mode, and collect the admission receipt on the spot.

The MAH 5-Year LLB CAP 2026 admission process began with CAP registration from June 19, 2026, to July 17, 2026. For Round 1, there were 20,392 registrations and 16,484 verified applications across 33 approved law colleges. The alphabetical merit list for Round 1 was displayed on July 22, 2026, followed by the publication of the final merit list on July 28, 2026. Allocation for Round 1 occurred on August 18, 2026.

The CAP process includes three centralised allotment rounds before the Institutional Round. The Institutional Round serves as the final opportunity to fill remaining vacant seats. Candidates can view the institutional merit list by selecting the relevant university, college, and division on the official CAP portal.
