Mahatma Gandhi University recruitment: apply for 5 junior software developer posts by 16 October 2026

Applicants for the Junior Software Developer post must be between 21 and 45 years of age as on 1 January 2026. Age relaxation will be provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per existing rules. Also, a relaxation of one year in age for every one year of service, up to a maximum of five years, will be granted for candidates with prior experience in universities.

Both submissions must be completed on or before 16 October 2026. The name of the post, Junior Software Developer, must be superscribed on the envelope and clearly mentioned in the application. Applicants are required to provide a valid email ID and mobile phone number in their bio-data for communication purposes. Applications received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered.

Required Qualifications and Responsibilities

Candidates must possess specific academic qualifications and technical skills for the Junior Software Developer role. The required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Applications, a BE/BTech in Computer Science or IT, or a Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Applications.

Regarding technical expertise, applicants must have knowledge of PHP (core) web frameworks, specifically Laravel or CodeIgniter. A minimum of two years of professional PHP development experience is also a prerequisite for the position.

The job responsibilities for the Junior Software Developer include participation in the entire web application development life cycle, using test-driven development methodologies, staying informed about new web development trends, and providing weekly and daily progress reports.

The Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) is offering a consolidated remuneration of ₹23,000 per month for the Junior Software Developer positions.
