This centralized online counselling determines admission into undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and B.Sc. Nursing programs across top government and private medical institutes nationwide.

What Does MCC Counselling Cover?

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) conducts this online process through the MCC for specific seat quotas:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Seats in all government medical and dental colleges across India.

• 100% Seats in Central & Deemed Universities: Includes top institutions like Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Delhi University (DU).

• 100% Seats in Premier Institutes: All seats at AIIMS and JIPMER campuses nationwide.

1. New Candidate Registration

Candidates must go to mcc.nic.in, select the “UG Medical Counselling” tab, and click on New Candidate Registration. You will need your NEET UG Roll Number, Application Number, candidate’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth to create a login password.

2. Fee Payment

To complete registration, candidates must pay two types of fees online via Net Banking, Credit, or Debit card:

• Non-Refundable Counselling Fee: ₹1,000 for General/EWS candidates (₹500 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) applying for AIQ seats, or ₹5,000 for Deemed Universities.

• Refundable Security Deposit: ₹10,000 for AIQ/Central University seats (₹5,000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) and ₹2,00,000 for Deemed Universities. This amount is refunded after counselling concludes if rules are followed.

3. Choice Filling and Locking

This is the most vital step. Candidates log into their dashboard to select their preferred colleges and courses.

• You can add as many choices as you want.

• Arrange choices in order of preference (highest priority first).

• Remember to lock choices before the deadline; if you forget, the portal automatically locks your last saved preferences.

4. Seat Allotment Result

MCC processes seat distribution using automated algorithms based on NEET UG All India Rank (AIR), candidate reservation category, seat availability, and filled choices. Seat allotment lists are published as downloadable PDFs on the portal.

5. Reporting to College

Candidates satisfied with their allotted seat must download their MCC Seat Allotment Letter and report physically to the designated college within the specified dates.

Documents Required for Physical Verification

When visiting the allotted college, candidates must present original hard copies along with self-attested photocopies:

• NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Official Scorecard.

• Class 10th Certificate and Mark Sheet (for date of birth proof).

• Class 12th Certificate and Mark Sheet.

• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport).

• Eight passport-sized photographs (matching the photograph on the NEET application).
