NIOS 10th, 12th: Download October 2026 theory hall tickets soon

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is expected to release the hall tickets for the Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) October 2026 theory examinations soon. While the exact release date has not been confirmed as of 17 October 2026, the hall tickets are anticipated to be available in October 2026 on the official NIOS student portal, sdmis.nios.ac.in.

These hall tickets are crucial for students planning to appear for the October-December 2026 public examinations. The theory date sheet for these exams was released on 8 October 2026, outlining the schedule for both Class 10 and Class 12 students.

Downloading NIOS Theory Hall Tickets

Once released, students will be able to download their hall tickets from the official NIOS student portal by visiting sdmis.nios.ac.in/search/hall-ticket. To access the admit card, candidates must enter their 12-digit enrollment number and select the appropriate hall ticket type for the theory examination. It is mandatory for students to carry a printed copy of their NIOS admit card for the October session on all examination days, as no student will be permitted to appear for the theory exam without it.

Hall tickets will only be generated for students who have successfully paid the examination fee for the October 2026 public examination and whose photograph is on record with NIOS. In cases where a hall ticket is not generated, students are advised to contact their respective Regional Centre immediately for assistance.

Examination Schedule and Guidelines

The NIOS 10th October exams 2026 are scheduled to be held between 22 October and 7 December 2026. For Senior Secondary students, the NIOS 12th October session exams 2026 will be conducted from 22 October to 5 December 2026. The practical hall ticket for the October-November 2026 session was released on 9 September 2026, with practical examinations held from 14 to 29 September 2026.

Students must arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the examination begins. Along with the printed hall ticket, a valid photo ID is required for entry. Prohibited items such as mobile phones, calculators, bags, cameras, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the examination center. The information published online regarding hall tickets is for immediate reference and should not be treated as original documents, which are issued separately by NIOS.

The National Institute of Open Schooling has outlined key dates for the October 2026 examination session. While the practical examinations have already concluded, the focus now shifts to the upcoming theory exams and the release of their corresponding hall tickets.
