The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Board has released the final state merit list for MBBS and BDS admission for the 2026-27 academic session. This list follows the completion of the stray vacancy round registration, which concluded today, October 18, 2026.

The merit list supports admissions to the 85% state quota seats and NRI quota seats in medical and dental colleges across Odisha. It is based on candidates’ All India Ranks (AIR) from NEET UG 2026 and the documents submitted during registration, with newly registered candidates in the stray vacancy round assigned ranks with decimal points.

Odisha NEET UG 2026 Final Merit List Details

The final state merit list includes state ranks across all categories: General (GN), Economically Weaker Section (EW), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC/EB). It is organized by state and displays the NEET Application Number, domicile status, category, All India Rank (NEET_AIR), and state rank (State_AIR), along with category-specific ranks. Eligible PwBD candidates have been assigned a PC rank, while ineligible PwBD candidates are considered under the General Category, says OJEE.

The OJEE Board has clarified that the list is provisional, and all documents will undergo original verification during the reporting and admission process. Appearance on this merit list does not guarantee a seat, as allotment depends on seat availability, category rank, and counselling choices. Document verification during admission can lead to cancellation if any deviation, tampering, or forgery is detected.

Stray Vacancy Round Schedule and Eligibility

The stray vacancy round registration commenced on October 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, and closed today, October 18, 2026. Eligible candidates were required to submit fresh web choices between October 17 and October 18, 2026. The seat allotment results for this round are scheduled to be declared on October 20, 2026, with physical document verification and admission reporting to be completed by October 22, 2026.

Candidates who registered in previous rounds but were not allotted a seat or withdrew before Round 3 were not required to register again for the stray vacancy round but had to enter fresh choices. Those allotted a seat in Round 3 who chose not to report are also eligible for the state stray round. However, candidates already admitted are strictly blocked from participating, and resignation is not permitted once a seat is allocated in the stray vacancy round.
