Overview of the LDC Recruitment Process

The written examination for this recruitment, Advertisement Number 04/2026, was conducted on July 5, 2026, in an offline OMR-based mode. The answer key for the examination was released on July 24, 2026. The result PDF has been uploaded separately for male and female candidates, and the cut-off marks have been released separately for Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) and Non-Tribal Sub-Plan (NTSP) areas.

A total of 9,642 posts are available in the Non-TSP region, with 1,002 vacancies in the TSP region. Candidates equal to approximately three times the total number of vacancies have been shortlisted for the Phase 2 typing test. The application window for the RSSB LDC 2026 recruitment began on February 13, 2026, with admit cards released on July 1, 2026.

Qualifying Marks and Examination Structure

To qualify in the written examination, General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates were required to secure at least 40% marks. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates needed a minimum of 35% marks. The written test (Phase 1) comprised two papers, each carrying 100 marks: Paper 1 covered General Knowledge, Everyday Science & Mathematics, while Paper 2 focused on General Hindi & General English. A negative marking of 1/3rd mark was applied for incorrect answers in the written exam.

Next Stages: Typing Test and Document Verification

Candidates who have qualified in the written examination will proceed to Phase 2, which is the typing and efficiency test. This test carries a total of 100 marks and consists of four separate tests: Hindi Typing Speed, English Typing Speed, Hindi Typing Efficiency, and English Typing Efficiency. Each of these typing tests has a duration of 10 minutes and carries 25 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for Phase II (Skill Test) are 36% in both tests.
