TS LAWCET 2026 final phase web option entry closes today, seat allotment on September 25

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) is concluding the web option entry for the TS LAWCET 2026 final phase counselling today, September 21, 2026. This phase is described as the last structured opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B courses for the 2026-27 academic year under the convener quota.

The final phase counselling process, which commenced with a notification on September 13, 2026, has seen candidates register, pay fees, and upload certificates between September 15 and 17, 2026. The display of verified eligible candidates and corrections was completed on September 18, 2026, leading up to the current web option entry period.

Final Phase Schedule and Key Dates

The web option entry window for the TS LAWCET 2026 final phase counselling opened on September 19, 2026, and will close today, September 21, 2026. Following this, candidates will have an opportunity to edit their web options on September 21 and 22, 2026. The provisional seat allotment result for this final phase is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2026.

Candidates who are allotted a seat in this phase must report to their respective colleges by September 29, 2026, to confirm their admission. The processing fee for the counselling is ₹800 for OC, BC, and OBC candidates, and ₹500 for SC and ST candidates. These fees are non-refundable and must be paid online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Seat Availability and Eligibility Criteria

Across more than 30 law colleges in Telangana, approximately 5,678 convener-quota seats are available for the 2026-27 academic year. This includes around 3,866 seats for the 3-Year LL.B programme and approximately 1,812 seats for the 5-Year Integrated LL.B programme. Reservation policies include horizontal reservation of 3% for PH (Divyangjan) candidates.

Eligibility criteria for admission require OC candidates to have a minimum 45% aggregate in graduation for 3-year LL.B and in 10+2 for 5-year LL.B. OBC candidates need a minimum 42% aggregate, while SC/ST candidates require a minimum 40% aggregate in their respective qualifying examinations. For TS LAWCET 2026, OC/BC candidates needed a minimum 35% score to qualify, whereas SC/ST candidates qualified simply by appearing in the examination. Candidates who obtained a degree through a single-sitting programme or an open university without the required basic qualification are not eligible for admission.

Previous Counselling Phases and Participation Rules

The TS LAWCET 2026 counselling process has already completed two phases. Phase 1 was conducted in July 2026, with seat allotment on July 24 and college reporting from July 25 to 28, 2026. The registration for 3-year LL.B programmes for this phase closed on July 20, 2026, after originally opening on July 5 and being scheduled to close on July 10, 2026. The display of the verified candidates’ list for Round 1 was on July 22, 2026, and web option entry for Round 1 was from July 23 to July 26, 2026.

Phase 2 of the counselling took place in August 2026, with seat allotment occurring between August 5 and 8, 2026. A specific rule for the final phase states that candidates who were allotted a seat in the Second Phase and either did not report or cancelled their admission are not permitted to participate in this Final Phase of Counselling, as per the Telangana Council of Higher Education.
