TS LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 Phase 3 seat allotment postponed to September 27

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has announced a postponement in the release of the Phase 3 seat allotment for TS LAWCET and TS PGLCET 2026. The college-wise provisional selection list, initially slated for today, September 25, 2026, will now be published on September 27, 2026.

This final phase of counselling is crucial for candidates seeking admission to 3-year LLB, 5-year integrated LLB, and LLM courses offered by participating law colleges across Telangana for the academic year 2026-2027. The reason for this postponement was not specified by the authorities.

Revised Schedule for FINAL PHASE Allotments

The web option window for the final phase of TS LAWCET 2026 closed on September 21, 2026. Following the release of the provisional selection list on September 27, 2026, candidates who are allotted seats must complete their college reporting, including original certificate verification and tuition fee payment, by September 29, 2026.

The online registration cum verification for candidates who had not registered in Phase I and II was conducted from September 15, 2026, to September 17, 2026. The verified list of eligible registered candidates for the final phase was displayed on September 18, 2026, with web options exercised from September 19 to September 21, 2026. Editing of web options was also permitted on September 21, 2026.

Eligibility and Fee Structure for ADMISSIONS

Candidates who received an allotment in the Second Phase but did not report to the allotted college are ineligible to exercise options in this Final Phase of Counselling. Similarly, candidates who cancelled their seats in Phases I and II are also not eligible for the Final Phase. The admission procedure involves online registration, processing fee payment, uploading required certificates for digital verification, web options exercise, and seat allotment.

The non-refundable processing fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹1,000, while for SC and ST candidates, it is ₹500. Also, an amount of ₹100 will be collected under the “Telangana Green Fund” from students who secure seats in professional courses, alongside the tuition fee, as per G.O. Ms No 17 dated February 18, 2022.

For fee reimbursement, eligible candidates are subject to guidelines issued vide G.O.Ms.No. 08 and 09 dated June 06, 2026. Candidates who have already claimed fee reimbursement in their PG education are not eligible for fee reimbursement for pursuing LAW courses. The minimum aggregate marks for 3-year LL.B. and 5-year LL.B. courses are 45% for the general category (OC/BC), 42% for the OBC Category, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.

Court Ruling on Osmania University External Graduates

The Hon’ble High Court of Telangana issued a judgment on December 28, 2021, regarding the eligibility of B.A. External Graduates from Osmania University for admission into the 3-year LL.B. course. The ruling, delivered in Writ Appeal. No. 597 of 2020, W.P. Nos 37566 and 42780 of 2016, and W.P. No. 28822 of 2021, determined that these specific graduates are not eligible for the program.

This judicial decision directly affects a particular group of candidates seeking admission to the 3-year LL.B. course in Telangana’s law colleges. The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) adheres to this ruling in its admission procedures for the academic year 2026-2027.
