Apply for BA Photography & Advance Certification 2027 admissions now

Admissions for the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Photography and Advance Certification in Photography programs for the 2027 academic year are now open. Several institutions across India and internationally have commenced their application processes for these courses, catering to students interested in pursuing careers in various facets of the photography industry.

This development provides prospective students with opportunities to enroll in a field that has seen significant growth in India, driven by the expanding advertising, media, and fashion sectors. A BA in Photography is a three-year undergraduate program designed to equip artists with essential techniques and strengthen skills through studio practice, design theory, history, and cultural studies.

Eligibility and Admission Process for Ba Photography

General eligibility criteria for a BA in Photography require applicants to have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized Indian board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess good communication skills and have studied English as a subject in their last qualifying examination. The minimum age for admission to these programs is typically 17 years.

Admission to a BA in Photography program can be secured either through an entrance examination conducted by the respective institution or via merit-based direct admission, depending on the college’s specific policies. Institutions such as AAFT, Creative Hut, and Hamstech are among those offering BA photography admissions, with Hamstech being a college of creative education in Hyderabad with three decades of experience.

Institutions Offering Photography Programs

A range of institutions are currently accepting applications for photography courses. MIT-WPU, Pune, offers an Advance Certification in Photography program. AAFT has opened admissions for BA in Photography and Videography. ARCH provides BA/MA International degree courses in photography, with an option for students to undertake their final degree year at a partner university abroad after two years at the ARCH Jaipur Campus. This can lead to a Bachelor’s Degree, and students completing the ARCH program may also pursue a one-year Master’s at the same International University.

Online certificates can range from free to approximately ₹5,000, while classroom certificates typically cost between ₹15,000 and ₹50,000. Day scholar diplomas are priced from ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000. Fully residential one-year diplomas, including food and accommodation, range from ₹3,50,000 to ₹5,00,000, with premium private academy diplomas potentially costing up to ₹8,00,000. Tuition fees alone for Bachelor’s degrees in photography typically fall between ₹1,00,000 and ₹6,00,000.
