SLAT 2027 registration active: apply by December 4 for law programmes

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has opened registration for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2027, the entrance examination for its 5-year integrated law programmes. Aspirants for BA LLB and BBA LLB courses at Symbiosis Law Schools in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur can register until December 4, 2026.

The SLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be held in two phases, on December 19, 2026, and December 26, 2026. This national-level computer-based test is designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude for law studies, with results expected on January 12, 2027.

SLAT 2027 Registration and Key Dates

The registration window for SLAT 2027 commenced on August 21, 2026, and will conclude on December 4, 2026. Candidates must also complete the application fee payment by the same deadline. Admit cards for SET Test 01 will be released on December 11, 2026, followed by admit cards for SET Test 02 on December 18, 2026.

The examination offers candidates two attempts, with the higher score from either SET Test 01 or SET Test 02 being considered for admission purposes. This provision aims to provide flexibility to applicants.

SLAT 2027 Exam Pattern and Syllabus Overview

The SLAT 2027 exam is a computer-based test with a duration of 60 minutes. It comprises 60 questions, each carrying one mark, resulting in a total of 60 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The syllabus is divided into five sections: Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge.

Each of these five sections contains 12 questions, contributing 12 marks to the overall score. The General Knowledge section, in particular, covers a broad range of topics including current events, history, politics, sports, awards, books, and important people in the news, encompassing both Static GK and Current Affairs.

Preparation Strategy for SLAT 2027

For SLAT 2027, candidates are advised to develop a structured study plan that covers all sections of the syllabus. Given the broad nature of the General Knowledge section, early preparation is often recommended. This section, while potentially unpredictable, can also be highly scoring for well-prepared candidates.

Aspirants should focus on strengthening basic concepts, solving topic-wise questions, and practicing with sectional and full-length mock tests.
