The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the Open Round of seat allocation for its M.Biotechnology program for the August 2026 admission session. Eligibility and Application Details for Open Round

All candidates who met the minimum qualifying cutoff of the 50th percentile in the AIIMS MSc Biotechnology Entrance Exam 2026 are eligible to participate in the Open Round. The entrance examination, which consisted of 90 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 90 minutes, was conducted on June 13, 2026. Results for this exam were announced on July 20, 2026.

For M.Biotechnology, eligible candidates must possess a related degree such as MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc., B.Pharmacy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (minimum 4½ years), B.Sc. (minimum three years), or B.Tech (Biotechnology). Also, candidates need to have secured at least 60% marks in their qualifying degree for General/OBC/EWS categories and 55% for SC/ST candidates. The application fee for the entrance exam was INR 1,000 for General/OBC candidates and INR 800 for SC/ST candidates.

Seat Allocation Process and Important Dates

The seat allocation in the Open Round will be determined based on candidate merit, their eligibility, the availability of seats, and applicable category rules.
