CBSE Class 10 Scanned Copies 2026: Application Process Begins, Verification and Revaluation From August 16
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the post-result process for Class 10 students who appeared in the 2026 Main and Second Board examinations. Students can now apply online to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books through the official CBSE portal.
The facility is available for students who want to check their evaluated answer sheets before seeking verification of marks or re-evaluation. According to the schedule, applications for scanned copies can be submitted until August 9, 2026. The verification and re-evaluation process will begin later in August.
CBSE Class 10 Scanned Copy Application 2026
CBSE has introduced a three-stage post-result process for Class 10 students:
- Obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books
- Verification of marks
- Re-evaluation of answers
Students must first obtain the scanned copy of their answer book if they wish to apply for verification or re-evaluation. The board has made this step mandatory for Class 10 candidates.
Students can apply for scanned copies of their answer books through the CBSE post-result portal. The fee for obtaining a scanned copy is Rs 300 per subject.
CBSE Class 10 Verification and Revaluation Dates 2026
The important dates for the post-result activities are given below:
| Post-result Activity | Dates | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Scanned copy of evaluated answer book | August 5 to August 9, 2026 | Rs 300 per subject |
| Verification of marks | August 16 to August 19, 2026 | As prescribed by CBSE |
| Re-evaluation of answers | August 16 to August 19, 2026 | Rs 100 per question |
Students should complete each process within the prescribed deadline. CBSE has clarified that applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered. Fees paid for these services are also non-refundable.
What Happens During Verification of Marks?
The verification process is different from re-evaluation. During verification, CBSE checks whether all answers have been evaluated, whether the marks have been correctly totalled and whether the marks have been transferred accurately.
It does not involve a fresh assessment of the answers. Students who believe there is an error in the evaluation process can use this facility after receiving their scanned answer book.
CBSE Class 10 Re-evaluation 2026
Students who remain dissatisfied after checking their scanned answer sheets can apply for re-evaluation. The re-evaluation facility allows students to request a review of specific answers.
The fee for re-evaluation has been fixed at Rs 100 per question. Students should carefully identify the questions for which they want to seek re-evaluation before submitting the application.
CBSE’s official portal also confirms that Class 10 students who have obtained the photocopy of their answer book will only be eligible to apply for verification or re-evaluation in the subject for which they obtained the copy.
Rules for Students Appearing in Both Main and Second Board Exams
CBSE has also specified rules for students who appeared for a particular subject in both the Main and Second Board examinations.
Such students can obtain scanned copies of their answer books from both examinations. However, they can seek verification or re-evaluation for the answer book of only one examination. Once a student selects either the Main Board or Second Board answer book for verification or re-evaluation, the other answer book cannot be considered for these facilities.
CBSE Class 10 Result 2026
CBSE declared the Class 10 Main Board Examination result on April 15, 2026. The result for the Class 10 Second Board Examination was subsequently announced on July 18, 2026. The latest post-result facilities are now being provided to students from both examination cycles.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks should carefully review their answer sheets before deciding whether to apply for verification or re-evaluation. Since the application windows are limited, candidates should complete the process within the dates announced by CBSE.
Students can access the CBSE Class 10 Photocopy, Verification and Re-evaluation Portal 2026 through the official CBSE website.
