CMA Inter/Final: Apply by Oct 10; Foundation: Apply by Oct 14 for Dec 2026 exam

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has announced the final dates for candidates to submit their application forms for the December 2026 term of the CMA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations. The window to apply without a late fee is closing in the coming days, with separate deadlines for different course levels.

Candidates who have already completed their admission forms are eligible to proceed with the examination application. The application process is being conducted online through the official portal, icmai.in, to support candidates in securing their spot for the upcoming December 2026 examinations.

Application Deadlines and Late Fee Window

The deadline for submitting CMA Intermediate and Final application forms without a late fee is October 10, 2026. For candidates aspiring to appear for the CMA Foundation examination, the last date to apply without a late fee is October 14, 2026.

Following these initial deadlines, ICMAI will open a window for applications with a late fee. Intermediate and Final candidates can submit their forms from October 11, 2026, to October 17, 2026. For Foundation course applicants, the late fee window will be active from October 15, 2026, to October 21, 2026.

Eligibility and Application Fees

Only candidates who completed their admission form before August 4, 2026, are eligible to pay the examination fee for the December 2026 term. This distinction highlights that the admission form and the exam application form are two separate stages in the CMA process. The cutoff date for admission to appear for the CMA Foundation December 2026 exam was July 31, 2026.

The application fees vary based on the course level and whether the test center is in India or overseas. For the Foundation course, the fee is INR 1,500 for Indian centers and USD 100 for overseas centers. Intermediate and Final courses have different fee structures depending on whether candidates are applying for single or combination groups.

Examination Schedule and Admit Card Release

The December 2026 CMA examinations are scheduled to commence in the second week of December. The CMA Foundation examination will be held on December 13, 2026. For Intermediate and Final courses, the examinations are slated to take place from December 10, 2026, to December 17, 2026.

ICMAI is expected to release the admit cards for the December 2026 CMA examinations in the last week of November 2026. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets directly from the official ICMAI website at icmai.in/ClntStudents/AdmitCard once they are released.
