ECOR GDCE 2026 Eligibility Criteria and Age Limits

The ECoR GDCE 2026 eligibility is limited to regular ECoR employees who meet the prescribed service, age and qualification requirements.

Eligible candidates: Regular ECoR employees, including those from the erstwhile Waltair division/SCoR who hold a lien in ECoR.
Not eligible: RPF/RPSF employees and those who have resigned or transferred to another railway from ECoR.
Age limit: Candidates must be 18 to 42 years as on January 1, 2027.
Upper age limit: 42 years for UR, 45 years for OBC-NCL, and 47 years for SC/ST candidates.
Age relaxation: No age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.
Educational qualification: Candidates must hold the prescribed qualification for the respective post as on the date of the GDCE notification; candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.

ECOR GDCE 2026 Selection Process and Marking Scheme

The ECoR GDCE 2026 selection process comprises a CBT followed by a post-specific aptitude/typing test, document verification and medical examination, wherever applicable.

Minimum qualifying marks in CBT	UR: 40%; OBC-NCL: 30%; SC: 30%; ST: 25%. PwBD candidates may receive a 2-mark relaxation where there is a shortage against PwBD vacancies.
CBT/CBAT Shortlisting	Candidates for CBAT/Typing Skill Test are shortlisted up to 8 times the number of vacancies.
