IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 registration extended: apply for 13k+ posts by 27 September

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended the registration deadline for the IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026, allowing prospective candidates to submit their applications until September 27, 2026. This extension provides an additional week for applicants, as the previous last date was September 21, 2026.

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 13,745 vacancies across various posts in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) nationwide. This figure marks an increase from the initially announced 13,706 vacancies, with 39 additional posts specifically for Office Assistant roles.

Application Process and Fee Structure

Candidates interested in the IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 can apply for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I, II, and III positions through the official website, ibps.in. While an applicant can apply for both Office Assistant and one officer cadre post (Scale-I, Scale-II, or Scale III), only one officer post is permissible.

The application fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates is ₹175 for all posts. For all other categories of candidates, the application fee is ₹850. Payments can be processed using various online methods, including Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets. The online registration for CRP RRBs XV commenced on September 1, 2026.

Vacancy Details and Post Distribution

The recruitment drive targets 13,745 vacancies across Group A Officers (Scales I, II & III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Specifically, there are 8,222 posts for Office Assistant, 4,256 for Officer Scale I, 1,047 for Officer Scale II, and 220 for Officer Scale III. The increase in vacancies from 13,706 to 13,745 primarily benefits the Office Assistant category.

Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration during the application process. The prescribed text for the handwritten declaration is: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Examination Schedule and Important Dates

Following the extended registration period, the preliminary examination for the IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 is scheduled to be held in November/December 2026. The main examination will then take place in December 2026/January 2027. Interviews for Officer Scale I, II, and III are slated for January/February 2027.

The correction window for applications will open two days after the closure of registration, with the exact date to be notified on the IBPS website. The last date for printing the application form is either October 5, 2026, or October 6, 2026, according to different sources. The IBPS RRB Notification 2026 for CRP RRBs-XV was initially released on August 31, 2026.
