The UCEED 2027 results are scheduled for declaration on March 6, 2027, with scorecards available for download from March 10, 2027, until July 31, 2027, exclusively on the official website, www.uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED 2027 Part B Cutoff Details

The UCEED Part B cutoff for 2027 has been fixed separately for each category. Candidates must meet the applicable Part B cutoff after being shortlisted through Part A. The Part B answer booklets of candidates not shortlisted through Part A will not be evaluated. The examination carries a total of 300 marks, with Part A accounting for 200 marks and Part B for 100 marks.

Part B consists of two questions assessing sketching and design aptitude, with a duration of one hour. Both Part A and Part B are compulsory for all candidates appearing for UCEED 2027. Digital copies of scorecards will be maintained at the UCEED office for a maximum of five years from the date of issue, with no hard copies provided.

UCEED 2027 Examination and Ranking Process

The UCEED 2027 examination is scheduled for January 17, 2027. Part A, with a maximum time of two hours, comprises 57 questions across NAT, MSQ, and MCQ sections. IIT Bombay will release the UCEED 2027 draft answer key and Part A responses on January 19, 2027. Candidates can submit comments or objections through the candidate portal until January 21, 2027, with the final Part A answer key scheduled for January 26, 2027. There is no provision for re-evaluation, re-grading, or re-totalling for either Part A or Part B.

The rank list will be prepared based on the total marks, which is the sum of Part A and Part B marks. In case of a tie in total marks, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate with higher marks in Part B. If the tie persists, higher marks in Section 2 of Part A will be considered, followed by Section 1 of Part A. If a tie remains, candidates will be assigned the same rank. The scorecard of every appeared candidate will contain the Part A score, and if the Part A criterion is cleared, it will also include the Part B score and total score. If a candidate clears the Part B cut-off, the scorecard will mention ‘QUALIFIED’ and include a rank or ranks based on their category.

Part a Cutoff and Shortlisting Criteria

The official UCEED 2027 Part A cut-off was 83.75 for the General category, 75.37 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and 41.87 for SC/ST/PwD. This Part A cut-off is calculated as μ + (σ/2) from a mean of 70.86 and a standard deviation of 25.77. The 2027 paper was noted as easier, with a mean of 70.86 compared to 61.50 in 2025, leading to a jump in the qualifying bar for Part A from 74.35 to 83.75.

The UCEED Part A cutoff 2027 is not a predetermined number announced before the examination. If 6,400 or fewer candidates meet the applicable Part A measure, that measure will act as the Part A cutoff. If more than 6,400 candidates meet the measure, only the top 6,400 candidates based on Part A marks will be shortlisted, with candidates tied at the 6,400th position also being shortlisted. Approximately 245 B.Des seats are available across seven institutes, with seat allotment typically beginning around April after the result declaration. The overall UCEED cut-off for admission, considering both Part A and Part B scores, is released during the UCEED seat allotment process.
