UCEED 2027 Part B cutoff scores announced: check category-wise qualifying marks

IIT Bombay today, 8 October 2026, announced the UCEED 2027 Part B cutoff scores and evaluation criteria for candidates aspiring to qualify for the undergraduate design entrance examination. These cutoffs are essential for candidates to receive a rank and proceed in the admission process.

To qualify for UCEED 2027, candidates must clear both the Part A and Part B cut-offs. The rank lists will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in both parts of the examination.

UCEED 2027 Part B Cutoff Scores and Evaluation

The Part B cutoff scores for UCEED 2027 have been set category-wise. For the OPEN category, the cutoff is 15 marks, while OBC-NCL / EWS candidates require 13.5 marks. SC / ST / PwD candidates need to secure 7.5 marks to clear the Part B cutoff.

Part B of UCEED 2027 consists of two subjective questions, which are manually evaluated by expert examiners. The evaluation process is conducted without providing examiners with student identifying information, and answers are assessed holistically as there is no model solution. If marks from two examiners differ by 10 marks or less, their average is considered. Should the difference exceed 10 marks, additional expert examiners will evaluate until two evaluations show a difference of 10 marks or less. There will be no re-evaluation, re-grading, or re-totalling of Part A or Part B marks, and evaluated Part B answer booklets will not be shared with candidates, though they will be preserved for three months from the result declaration date.

Ranking Criteria and SCORE CARD Information

Rank lists for UCEED 2027 will be prepared based on the total marks, which combine Part A and Part B scores. In the event of a tie in total marks, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate with higher marks in Part B. If the tie persists, higher marks in Section 2 of Part A will be considered. Should the tie still remain, higher marks in Section 1 of Part A will determine the higher rank. If a tie remains after all these criteria, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

The ‘SCORE CARD’ will contain the Part A score, and if the Part A criterion is cleared, it will also include the Part B score and Total score. If a candidate clears the Part B cut-off, their scorecard will mention ‘QUALIFIED’ and include a rank. Digital copies of scorecards will be maintained at the UCEED office for a maximum of five years from the date of issue. Hard copies of the UCEED Score Card will not be made available, and email requests for sharing the Score Card will not be entertained.

Key Dates for UCEED 2027 Aspirants

The UCEED 2027 examination is scheduled for January 17, 2027. The UCEED 2027 Question Paper and Draft Answer Key for Part A will be released on January 19, 2027. Candidates will have until January 21, 2027, at 05:00 pm to submit comments or objections to the draft answer key through their candidate portal. The final decision on contested answer keys will be made after considering all received comments.

UCEED 2027 results will be declared on March 06, 2027, and will be available exclusively on the official website, www.uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates can download their UCEED 2027 Score Card from March 10, 2027, to July 31, 2027. Responses for Part A of UCEED 2027 will be available for download only until the declaration of results, after which downloading will be disabled.
