ICAI CA Registration Window 2026 Closing Today for September/November Sessions: Last Chance to Apply

Thousands of Chartered Accountancy aspirants across India face a critical deadline today. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is officially closing its registration and examination form submission window today, July 22, 2026, for the upcoming September and November 2026 exam cycles.

Candidates who wish to sit for the CA Foundation, Intermediate, or Final examinations during this session must submit their forms before midnight tonight on the official Self Service Portal (SSP).

Today marks the final extended deadline, which requires a late fee of ₹600 (or USD 10 for international candidates). While the regular application window without extra charges ended on July 19, this late entry period represents the absolute last opportunity for students to secure their examination slots. Missing tonight’s deadline means waiting for the next exam cycle, delaying academic and career progression by several months.

ICAI CA Registration: Key Highlights

Under ICAI’s updated examination structure, exam frequency varies across course levels:

  • CA Foundation & Intermediate exams are held three times a year (January, May, and September).

  • CA Final exams take place twice a year (May and November).

Course Level Exam Schedule Registration Deadline (With Late Fee)
CA Foundation September 2, 5, 7, & 9, 2026 July 22, 2026 (Tonight)
CA Intermediate (Group 1) September 1, 3, & 6, 2026 July 22, 2026 (Tonight)
CA Intermediate (Group 2) September 8, 10, & 12, 2026 July 22, 2026 (Tonight)
CA Final (Group 1) November 2, 4, & 6, 2026 July 22, 2026 (Tonight)
CA Final (Group 2) November 9, 11, & 13, 2026 July 22, 2026 (Tonight)

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply Before Midnight

To avoid technical glitches or payment failures due to last-minute server traffic, candidates should complete their applications immediately using the official online setup.

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) at eservices.icai.org.

  2. Log In / Register: Log in using your existing Student Registration Number (SRN) and password. New users must complete basic registration first.

  3. Fill the Form: Navigate to the “Student Functions” menu, select the appropriate examination form (Foundation, Inter, or Final), and select your preferred exam centers and medium of instruction.

  4. Upload Documents: Attach required scanned documents, including a passport-size photo, signature, and declaration form/certificate of service (where applicable).

  5. Pay Fees Online: Complete the transaction online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Ensure the late fee adjustment of ₹600 is included in the total amount.

  6. Save Receipt: Save and print the PDF confirmation receipt generated by the portal for future reference.

Important Note: ICAI does not accept offline paper applications or physical forms delivered by hand or mail. The entire process must be completed online through the SSP before portal closure.

What Comes Next? Correction Window Opens Tomorrow

For students worried about typos or errors made during high-stress registration, ICAI provides a short safety net.

The Application Correction Window will officially open tomorrow, July 23, 2026, and remain active through July 25, 2026. During these three days, candidates can edit specific details in their submitted forms without paying additional fees.

Allowed Corrections:

  • Change of Examination Center / City

  • Change of Medium (English / Hindi)

  • Change of Group (Single Group to Both Groups or vice versa)

Changes to core personal details like name, date of birth, or email address are restricted during the correction window to prevent security issues.

Advice for Candidates Handling Last-Minute Rush

With the deadline just hours away, network traffic can lead to slow response times or failed transactions. Experts advise candidates to follow these practical steps:

  • Use a Laptop/Desktop: Avoid filling out the form on mobile browsers, as image uploads and payment gateway redirects can fail on smaller screens.

  • Clear Browser Cache: Clear cache and cookies before logging in to prevent SSP portal session timeouts.

  • Verify Payment Deduction: If your bank account is debited but the SSP portal does not issue a confirmation page, wait briefly before making a second attempt, or contact onlineexamforms@icai.in with your transaction ID.

  • Check Document Specifications: Ensure scanned copies of your signature and photo meet the pixel size and format requirements (typically JPEG/JPG under 100 KB) to prevent system rejections.

With exams scheduled to begin on September 1 for Intermediate candidates, September 2 for Foundation, and November 2 for Final aspirants, today’s submission is the crucial step that seals your eligibility. Do not leave it until the final hour!
