Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment drive includes 190 vacancies for Batch 01/2027 and 175 vacancies for Batch 02/2027. Navik (General Duty) posts are open to both male and female candidates, while Yantrik, Navik (Domestic Branch), and Hygienist-I posts are exclusively for male candidates.

Educational qualifications vary by post. Navik GD requires a 12th pass with Mathematics and Physics from a COBSE-recognised board. Navik DB requires a 10th pass from a COBSE-recognised board. Yantrik applicants must have a 10th pass along with a specified 3/4-year AICTE-approved diploma, or a 10th and 12th pass with a specified 2/3-year AICTE-approved diploma. Hygienist-I posts require Matriculation/Class 10 or an ITI/equivalent qualification.

Age Limits and Selection Procedure

Age limits vary by post and batch. For Navik GD (Batch 01/27 & 02/27) and Yantrik (Batch 01/27), candidates must have been born between 1 November 2005 and 1 May 2009. For Navik DB (Batch 02/27), the age limit is from 1 November 2005 to 1 October 2009. Hygienist-I (Batch 02/27) candidates must have been born between 1 November 2002 and 1 October 2009.

The selection process for CGEPT 2026 is structured into four stages. Stage-I involves a Computer Based Examination. Stage-II includes an Assessment/Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification, and a Medical Exam. Stage-III consists of further Document Verification and Pre-enrolment Medicals. The final Stage-IV is the commencement of training at INS Chilka. Candidates must bring a valid original identity proof, a printout of the E-admit card, and two passport-size colour photographs for verification at Stage-I.
