West Bengal HS semester 3 answer keys 2027 out: object by October 30

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) today, October 16, 2026, released the provisional answer keys for the Higher Secondary (HS) Semester 3 examination 2027 for all subjects. Students who appeared for the examination can now review these keys on the official website, wbchse.wb.gov.in.

This release initiates a window for students to raise objections against the provisional answer keys. The objection facility will be available online from October 27 to October 30, 2026, allowing candidates to challenge any discrepancies they identify in the provided answers.

Objection Process and Fee Structure

Candidates wishing to challenge the provisional answer keys for the WB HS 3rd semester examination 2027 must do so through the online facility on the WBCHSE’s official website. The objection window will be active for a limited period, from October 27 to October 30, 2026.

A fee of Rs 200 is mandated for each question against which an objection is raised. Subject experts will next verify all challenged answer keys. If an objection is found to be correct, the fee paid for that specific question will be directly refunded to the student’s bank account. Following the evaluation of all objections, the West Bengal Council will issue the final answer keys.

Examination Details and Key Dates

The WBCHSE conducted the WB HS semester 3 examination 2027 for the academic session 2026-27 from September 21 to October 14, 2026. This offline, pen-and-paper examination evaluates Class 12 students and included both objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and subjective/descriptive questions. The question paper comprised 30% objective MCQs, which were Optical Mark Recognition-based, and 70% subjective/descriptive questions. The duration for the examination was 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The examination schedule commenced on September 21, 2026, with subjects such as Bengali (A), English (A), and Hindi (A). The final examination for the 3rd semester was held on October 7, 2026, covering subjects like Biological Science, Political Science, and Costing & Taxation.
